The company offers a product range with over 100,000 products of the highest quality. Bolts and screws, bolt accessories, dowels, chemical technology products, furniture and building fixtures, tools, stock supply and removal systems as well as work safety, are sold to customers in trade and industry via Würth field sales staff.
Fully automated sequencing buffers double the performance in outgoing goods
At the company Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG in Bad Mergentheim, Germany, general contractor SSI SCHAEFER Noell GmbH designed a special solution for order compilation and sorting in the outgoing goods area together with the customer: The first installation of a fully automatic SCS.
At maximum storage space capacity, the highly dynamic warehouse system permits double the performance. At Würth, the storage system consisting of four carousels has been integrated into the existing material flow process and is used as a sequencing buffer for outgoing goods. At more than 3,800 storage locations allow buffering of the orders prepared throughout the day and expecting delivery. This saves preparation area and manual sorting stages/tracks. Complete orders can be called up in order according to customer sequences Call-up cycles and order compilations can be changed in a flexible way The SCS also permits consistent inventory management, permanent inventory and statistical records
