Trost, Uffenheim (Germany)
As a market leader in the automotive aftermarket, Eugen Trost GmbH, Stuttgart, supplies garages and specialist parts dealers with spare parts, tires and accessories for both domestic and international car makes.
The scope of supply comprises one million items, some 100,000 of which can be supplied ex stock. Due to the new central warehouse, seven regional warehouses could be closed down. Consequently, warehousing and transport costs could be reduced drastically.
At the same time, quality and promptness of the delivery service is optimized.
The automatic small parts storage system (miniload) is the core of the overall system.
As the system supplier of miniload technology, SSI Schäfer developed special software and electronical equipment for the material flow to control the miniload and connected bin conveyors.
