Operative quality problems during peak periods in the Intersnack warehouse in Alzey, Germany, were the reason for rethinking the existing structure of the production plant in Alsbach and developing a new logistics concept.

Instead of extending the existing plant by an additional block warehouse and a narrow aisle warehouse, a new warehouse was to be erected.

SSI Schaefer and the future operator of the plant, the Hamburg-based logistics company Danzas Solutions, were charged with the task of planning this new central warehouse for Intersnack Knabber-Gebäck GmbH & Co. KG in Biblis.
